Craigadam is very lucky to be so close to 5 of the 7 Stanes, Europes best Mountain Bike trails
There are four of the 7 stanes trails to choose
from in the forest. Two (blue and
green routes) are easier trails aimed
at novices, children and families
whilst the red and black trails are
best tackled by experienced mountain
bikers.

stanes Dalbeattie - 18 minutes drive South from Craigadam
Dalbeattie forest
has some great routes the hardrock
trail is nearly 27km in length,The
rail will have you begging for more.
It is mainly a route for intermediates
upwards but all the difficult sections
have easy option routes so everyone
can give it a go.

stanes Mabie - 22 minutes drive from Craigadam
Mabie has excellent mountain
biking for all skills levels. 7stanes trails and
other activities on site, which include
attractive forest walks, loads of wildlife
and very importantly an amazing playpark
for the kids
– they'll love it! also.

stanes AE forest - 36 minutes drive east from Craigadam
Mountain
biking here has its origins in competition
racing. There's been many a gruelling
XC race and the downhill track is
one of the top locations in the calendar.

stanes Kirroughtree - 45 minutes drive West from Craigadam
Kirroughtree Forest
is about three miles away from Newton
Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway.

7 stanes Glentrooll - 60 minutes drive west from Craigadam
Located in
the heart of Galloway Forest Park.
It's a fascinating area rich in beauty
and home to the south of Scotland's
highest mountain – the magnificent
Merrick. With all that rugged landscape
at your disposal then you'd expect
a mountain bike trail to be there
somewhere! Well... now there is!
