In Memoriam - Vicky Pickup (1981-2007) :

The death of Vicky, who died from a short illness on Thursday 15th February 2007, was a sad loss to Craigadam and she is greatly missed by her family and friends. She started and ran the Craigadam Country Larder and was known for her interest in organic farming. Her brother James is presently covering the Larder and assisting his parents with the business. The family thank the hundreds of well-wishers and mourners who sent messages of condolence and attended the funeral. This page is a brief reminder of her life and will be gradually added to as an on-line memorial. Vicky was born on the 7th October 1981. Her funeral was on Friday 2nd March 2007 at Corsock Parish Church and was attended by some 300 people, each with some item of pink to celebrate her life. She had a green burial in the grounds of Craigadam, her childhood home and workplace.
