Golfing Breaks

Craigadam is centrally located within Dumfries and Galloway, a Region containing thirty-four golf courses of varying kinds. Troon, Ayr and Turnberry, are all within fifty miles of Craigadam. All the courses have different settings; some are links courses, others on hill slopes inland, with a choice of 9 or 18 holes and a variety of challenges.

Play an enjoyable round at Thornhill where Andrew Coltart honed his skills or try the challenge of the famous Solway links course at Southerness, designed by Mackenzie Ross in 1947. Tee off at Stranraer, the last course to be designed by James Braid or admire the views from Colvend or Wigtownshire County. With a choice of 30 courses – you can play serious golf or just a few rounds of holiday golf to your heart’s content.

There are also several driving ranges and golf professionals locally to help you hone your skills. Off the course, you’ll find a warm welcome in the clubhouse or the local pubs and restaurants.

Gateway to Golf Passes

This scheme has two kinds of pass, each entitling the bearer to play up to 36 holes per course on up to 10 of the 25 participating courses within a 3 or 5 weekday period in the same week. Full details and prices available from:

Testimonials

We arrived after coming down from the highlands to be met by Richard, and shown to a sumptuous HUGE bedroom with wonderful canopied bed, and a room the size of a dance hall with amazing decor. Seeing the rest of the farmhouse with dining room, sitting room, snooker room was fantastic. Great selection of drinks in the honesty bar, and the breakfast was....huge! A fantastic evening and stay all round, can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be back soon.
